Mineral substrate for orchids
This SYBASoil mix replaces bark-based substrates, which break down within one to two years and end up suffocating the roots. Entirely mineral, it does not break down and keeps its structure over the long term.
Composition
Pumice, zeolite and crushed lava, in a coarse grain size that lets air circulate around the aerial roots.
For which plants
- Phalaenopsis, cattleyas, oncidiums.
- Epiphytic orchids in general.
- Semi-hydroponic growing.
Use
Repot bare-rooted into the neat mix. Water by soaking, then leave to drain completely. The zeolite holds the nutrients from the fertiliser and releases them gradually.
