Pumice Chunky 8-16 mm - SYBASoil

Pumice 8 to 16 mm

A porous, lightweight volcanic rock, pumice holds a little water and a lot of air. This coarse 8 to 16 mm grade is used to open up the structure of substrates and to form drainage layers.

Why this grade

The 8-16 mm grade creates large spaces between the granules. It suits large pots, thick-rooted plants and the bottom of pots. For small containers and fine roots, choose the fine 4 to 8 mm version instead.

Use

• 10 to 30% of the volume to lighten a substrate.
• As a bottom layer, to keep roots away from standing water.
• Neat, in mineral growing for cacti and succulents.

Packaging

3-litre bag.
