Tropica Aquarium Soil: use, size and setup

Tropica Aquarium Soil is intended for planted aquariums. Choose a format and quantity according to the instructions; do not confuse it with potting mix for houseplants.

Identify the exact reference

Check whether it is Aquarium Soil or Soil Powder, the package size and the aquarium. Check the manufacturer’s documentation for the grain size and intended use. A 9 L bag alone does not guarantee a suitable substrate depth for every aquarium.

Calculate and monitor the setup

Record the base area, desired layout and required quantity. Follow startup recommendations and water checks: an active substrate can affect aquarium chemistry. Do not claim that it always eliminates the need for fertiliser for several months.
