Home tropical greenhouse: plan a practical project

Before building a growing structure, define the plants, volume, light and access for care. This guide organises the project; it is not electrical instructions or a tested construction tutorial.

Choose a structure for the actual use

A living-room display cabinet, a propagation mini greenhouse and a technical tent serve different purposes. Record the available space, stability, materials and access. Do not describe a decorative enclosure as suitable for humid conditions without checking.

Prepare a parts and setup list

• A dimensioned plan of the area and supports.
• Lighting and accessories compatible with the intended setup.
• Water management and access for cleaning.
• Ventilation, humidity monitoring and temperature checks.
• Cable routing and protection according to the instructions.

Compare ventilation and climate equipment and plant lights only after defining the setup.

Check it before growing plants
