Bonsai Mix - Premium Soil Mix - SYBASoil
SYBASoil Bonsai Mix is a granular, free-draining technical substrate, designed to ensure optimal root aeration and lasting stability, essential for the demanding cultivation of bonsai in pots.
01
Very free-draining, well-aerated structure
02
Bioactive mix with worm castings
03
Long-lasting structural stability (3 to 4 years)
The SYBASoil Bonsai Mix is a substrate specifically formulated to meet the very particular constraints of bonsai cultivation. In a shallow pot, with a deliberately limited root volume, a bonsai requires a stable, free-draining and perfectly aerated soil in order to avoid any suffocation of the roots.
In the TerraLED approach, success with a bonsai indoors or in a greenhouse depends on consistency between controlled lighting, precise watering and a suitable substrate. This mix fits fully into this technical, long-term logic.
SYBASoil Bonsai Mix makes it possible to:
Suitable plants and environments:
Not recommended for:
Indoor bonsai: A substrate perfectly suited to maples, ficus, elms or other species grown under TerraLED LED grow lighting.
Outdoor bonsai in pots: Can be used when repotting to maintain a lasting free-draining structure, limiting the risk of standing water.
Technical decorative growing: Suitable for botanical installations requiring precise control of drainage.
Best practices: Fertilise regularly during the growing period, as the volume of substrate is limited. Adjust watering to the bonsai species.
Common mistakes: Constantly waterlogged substrate, lack of light, no fertilising.
This substrate is ideal for serious hobbyists and bonsai enthusiasts who want a reliable, long-lasting mix. For very specific species or advanced practices, it can be supplemented or adjusted according to the precise needs of the tree.
