Sybotanica Perlite – The lightweight additive for thriving roots

Perlite is a porous material that improves soil aeration and drainage, preventing compaction and moisture-related problems. Ideal for all types of potting mix, it promotes optimal root development and a breathable growing environment.

Key benefits

• Lightens heavy soils and improves the structure of the potting mix
• Promotes root oxygenation and healthy plant growth
• Prevents rot and fungal problems
• Ultra-light, sieved and dust-free for safe, clean use
• Durable structure that does not break down over time

Applications

• Improving any potting mix or home-made mix
• Substrate for propagation and starting seedlings
• Indoor plants, tropical plants and succulents
• Ideal for SYBASoil mixes or for creating your own substrates

Perlite vs Vermiculite

Perlite retains less water and creates a more airy, free-draining mix, perfect for most indoor plants (Monstera, Pothos, Chlorophytum…). Vermiculite, on the other hand, retains moisture and is better suited to plants that like moist soils such as Alocasia, Calathea and Maranta.
